We're happy so far with this set. It's really nice looking, and my kids (7 & 3) love it. The only issues concerning me are that the slats provided are really rough wood--they could use a good sanding, and I found on another site (after we ordered these) that this set should not have anyone over 150 pounds on the top bunk. My husband is around 200, and sometimes may need to get up there, but I don't want to risk my little one underneath. This weight limit is fine for our daughter, but I really wanted something super-sturdy that could take a lot of weight & beating, but had not found anything about a weight limit on either this site or Atlantic Furniture's site. There were other bunk beds on the other site that went up to 250 pounds on the top bunk. Since these are advertised as being solid hardwood, we're hoping the weight limit was over-caution, and the beds are truly very sturdy. They do seem to be so far.[...]

This bunk bed is great! It was easy to put together and is very sturdy. It looks great and the wood is great quality. I was nervous to buy such a large piece of furniture online without seeing it, but I am so glad that I did. We saved money by buying this bed, but we didn't cut on quality. Our girls really enjoy the beds and are really excited about sharing the room. The beds are well built and easy to put together. My 11 year old daughter had fun helping to build it.
It came in several boxes and I was concerned about maybe missing a few parts but everything was there.

We purchased for my son's first real bed the twin over full bunk. We also got the raised panel drawer storage, the dresser with mirror, and a book shelf. We are very pleased with the quality of this furniture. There was no particle board! We were unsure of ordering this online because we had never done that before and like to see in person before purchasing. This was a great decision and we couldn't have asked for better quality for the money. The dresser is very short. My 2 year old can see himself in the mirror. This will work fine for many years but we will have to purchase a dresser for him as he gets older.

These bunk beds were much easier to assemble than I anticipated. It only took about 2 hours from the time I started looking at the instructions to my child climbing up the bed for the first time. So far we love these beds. I love that they are solid wood, and we really love the caramel latte color that we chose.

The bed looks pretty much just like online. It was pretty much what we expected.
It took a little time to receive the bed and when we received it, there was a part that was slightly damaged. We called and we were immediately shipped a replacement part.

This bed will be put to the test with my two boys. Just as the rest of their furniture, flooring, walls, my back seat, etc. However this bed really does seem to be of the quality that will stand up to them. As some others have said, the top railings are not the sturdiest, but that's due to the way it's attached to the bed. I think they'll be OK.
Assembly was as expected. Not terribly easy, but not too bad. I would say this is easily a one and a half person job. Installing the cross members requires some help so that things line up, and putting the top bunk on is definitly a two person job.
Everything goes together well, and the instructions are adequate. Believe it or not, the slats are the most impressive part. Webbing holds them in proper spacing, and in my backpacking circles, they would be called "bombers"!
For the price, this is an excellent bed. Fit and finish were well above what I expected at this price point.
Delivery was earlier than anticipated by a few days. This really worked out well. The carrier was courteous and prompt. All things arrived in about 5 or 6 boxes that were manageable, and they were put where I asked.
There was some very minor damage, but nothing that hurt the quality. All of this was hidden once assembled.

This is a great bunk bed, and was extremely easy to put together. My 3 kids sleep in it everynight, and absolutely love it. We use the trundle for when guests come and visit. Delivery was quick, recieved it before estimated date. Everything was in good condition and all the parts were there.

Overall, we're pleased with the quality of this bed. Being very critical, I didn't like that the ladder on the bed scratches the finish. I know the scratches aren't visible after the ladder is on, but there may come a day when I want to change the side the ladder is on. I also think the side rails on the top bunk are not as sturdy as I would like. But we are pleased with the overall quality and construction.

We put the bunk beds in the girls room. The full over full is great especially when their friends spend the night. There are two things that I would like to change. One is to add more mattress support, we put plywood down just to make it sturdier and number two is to make the railing on the top bunk higher. If you buy a nice mattress they are thick and the railing is too low. Other than that the bedroom set is very nice for the money.

We ordered the full-0ver-full bunkbeds in the walnut color. The workmanship is superb, and the beds were not difficult to assemble. My husband and son put them together a little over an hour. The wood is very hard and beautifully finished and the hardwood slats give really good support. These beds will be used for our "grandkids" room, but we also know that adults will be using them too, so we spent a little extra to get very comfortable matresses. We also ordered the trundle bed and it looks very nice when pushed under the bed. It slides out smoothly and can be easily pushed back in when not in use. We couldn't be more pleased.

The bed is solid, really attractive and easy to put together. It looks great in the room and is very sturdy. All of the pieces and all of the hardware were there. I had it assembled in about an hour and a half. The drawers are huge, and I think are a must.
The only complaint I have is that the slats aren't that thick or solid. I don't feel comfortable that the top bunk will support a fair amount of weight or a lot of jumping around simply because of the slats.

I purchased these for my three girls in full over full with the under bed storage and they are everything we hoped they would be. The storage is more than adequate for all their blankets and extra bedding. I opted to use a bunk bed mattress with a built in foundation sold elsewhere for extra support. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase and dealing with Mercantila.
Delivery was prompt and packaged very well. Got a courtesy phone call to confirm arrival and condition of product which I like to see.

We purchased the drawers that went under the bed. They are great for storing toys and other things. Installing the bunk bed was kind of a hassele. The factory sent us the wrong colored plugs that cover the exposed screw holes. Dark brown and matte white just don't match. The bed has a low weight limit and squeaks with any movement. Depth for top mattress doesn't accomodate a nicer quality thicker mattresses.

Get ready and be prepared for it to take a while to assemble, but it was well worth it.

The quality is great for the price. Almost all of the pieces were solid wood and the color was consistant through out.

Love this bed! I bought this bed for my sons and am thrilled with it! It is very sturdy and is a very attractive piece of furniture. The dark walnut finish looks very elegant and sophisticated. It's very sturdy; I snuggle up with my son for bedtime stories and am very comfortable. The bed was fairly easy to assemble, even though the directions weren't the best- common sense goes a long way. Our bunk bed was delivered in six boxes. Every thing was in good condition, and it was very easy to build. I think that the full mattress was very flimsy and is only good for about 110 lbs.

This bed is sturdy, and relatively easy for 2 people to put together. My daughter is thrilled, and I saved quite a bit of money shopping on this site.

My wife and I are more than happy with this bunk bed set. I had the full set assembled in a couple of hours (including the extra storage drawers). The price is by far better than on any other site that I found. I received the bed 3 business days after it was ordered.
Here are some things that I will point out that were a little different from what I expected:
I expected that the packaging would be quite bulky. Not so. Yes, you will probably need a pickup but it would also fit easily in a small van. 6 boxes total (with storage drawer option). longest piece was 6ft. Widest piece was about 4 feet, heaviest piece was about 50 lbs, so they are very manageable. After seeing the small size of the packaging I was resigned that 1. I was missing some pieces or 2. It was a cheaply made item. Boy, was I wrong! All pieces were accounted for and the quality is very good! I even climbed onto the top bunk in order to put the sheets on (200lbs+) and had no moments of doubt that it was easily holding firm.
The directions are a little dated, because they list 4 bolt sets and some screws that are not actually needed to assemble the bed any longer(seems they now assemble those pieces at the factory before the bed is packaged as a whole). So no worries when you inventory the hardware (screws and bolts). Just start assembly and you will find that you have everything that you need.
The storage drawers do not actually fit on a frame within the bed frame. They are "free rolling" on the floor surface, sliding underneath the bottom bunk. We have rather thick carpet in that particular room, so I had my doubts that they would work. They worked well!. The rollers that are on the bottom of the assembled drawers are a little over sized and large enough to make it easy for my 5 year old daughter to operate them, with absolutely no problem at all.
Most of all, my daughters are VERY excited about the bunk beds!
I don't think that I could be more pleased with this product. I would 100% recommend it and Bunk Bed Superstore/Mercantila.

We purchased the twin bunk over twin bunk with the trundle for sleepovers for our boys who like to sleep in each other's rooms. The beds look nice, are sturdy, seem to be high quality, and were pretty easy to put together. We did use the plywood from our old bunk beds as support over the slats since our boys are 7 and 6 and tend to play rough so this ensured more support.
The trundle was an excellent addition to the order and it pulled in and out very easy over berber carpet. The whole set looks great. Our previous mattresses fit perfectly and our standard mattresses will fit in the trundle too. I would recommend the clip ladder if you get the trundle since it does not interfere with the operation of the trundle bed. The other ladder will be in the way and you would need to remove it to pull out the trundle. We have the clip ladder so it works great with the trundle and is easy to climb for older kids. It might be harder for younger kids to climb the clip ladder since it is completely vertical.
This was an overall excellent value...great quality, good price, and everything we were hoping for our son's room.
The beds arrived quickly and in perfect condition. From the time I placed the order, I think we had the beds within 3 business days.

My girls ages 2 and 4 love this bunk bed. When it arrived in 7 boxes I thought it would be hard to put together. However, it was actually easy to put together. I had my husbands help too. The only con that I could have is that you can see the wooden slats from the top bunk. I just used fabric to cover them though. The storage drawers are huge and wonderful! We have the white finish and it is beautiful. They are very sturdy. I absolutely love these beds!

We have four children and 3 of those are boys, two-four year old boys and one five year old boy and they all share a room!! You can imagine what nap-time and bed-time were like before we got this awesome new twin over full bed! My boys were so excited when the delivery truck arrived that they literally attacked the man while bringing their bed in! We all had so much fun picking out this bed online...I had all three of them at once sitting on my lap to decide which one they wanted to be theirs. The bed is AWESOME! Excellent amount of head room on the bottom bunk and the trundle bed is very durable. My husband who weighs about 170 slept on the top bunk with my son one day and he said it felt great! Assembly was very simple! My husband had this put together in a very short amount of time. 1) Found the bunkbed very sturdy. My wife and I can comfortably read book to our son every night at the bottom full-size bed.
2) Love the darkwood choice - looks elegant.
3) Choose the clip-on ladder if you do not want additional obstacle on the floor; and, it is also useful to prevent younger toddlers to go up to the top. We're glad we did.
I did a lot of research before deciding to buy this one. If you like an dark color elegant looking and sturdy furnitures, this is a good choice for the price.
Package arrived in good condition - no damage/scratch.

Love the bed...really good quality wood and durable. It took us a while to assemble because they sent the manual for the twin over twin bunk, when we ordered the twin over futon bunk. The futon assembly was tricky without the manual, and we ended up having to take it apart and switching sides. Other than that, its great! Definitly recommend it.

This bed is built very well and arrived in great condition. It is very sturdy and is finished well. The bed was a real bargain when we compared it to other beds at local stores. It cost less and looks nicer. The instructions were not very clear, but it is pretty easy to figure out how to put it together just by looking at the diagrams and pieces. Our only complaint is that the trundle had several holes that were not threaded for the screws and we had to make a trip to the hardware store to remedy this situation.

We are very happy with this bunkbed. We have 3 boys using this bed; so it HAD to be sturdy. My husband put it together in one day. We used the slats and bunkie boards to ensure our energetic boys wouldn't fall through. I'd recommend NOT putting the wooden "snaps" over the screws until you've re-tightened the screws...about two weeks after initial building. Loved the color, quality and durability.

Bought this bed for 9 yr old son. He loves it and it looks great in his room. We really like the full size on bottom and the storage drawers underneath. Do think I would recommend the attached ladder instead of the slanted one that is all the way to the floor. Just think we would have liked it better because the one to the floor is in the way of one of the storage drawers. However, we can just take it off when need to get in the drawer. Overall--really like this bed.

A 16 year old foreign exchange student was coming to share a bedroom wtih my 16-year old daughter for a school year, and a bunk bed was the only way to fit them in the room easily. The white bed is very nice looking for a girl's room (one of very few that gained my daughter's approval), fairly easy to assemble, and sturdy once it is assembled. My daugher said it shakes less than any bunk bed she has slept on. The finish and fit are good quality.

This product is definitely great for kids. We have 2 children - aged 4.5 and almost 3 years old. The height of these beds (separated) is fabulous for younger users. We were able to stack them and unstack them very easily, and when the kids get older we will definitely use them in the bunk configuration.
Shipment and delivery came promptly and carefully. We did discover that our hardware package was missing some important pieces, but we were quickly sent a new one so we could build the beds.

This is a high-quality bed. I got the white finish, which was smooth, even, and seems durable. Assembly was a snap, with good pictorial instructions. I chose the trundle option, so I can't speak to the under-bed bureau; that said, the trundle was easy to assemble and seems durable, although it could use a caster or two under the middle section (I added two after market wheels myself). Once assembled, the bed is sturdy, good looking, and silent--no squeaks when top bunk child climbs up or rattles around in bed.
